The White Palace
A great pile of scorched marble that extends over hectares near the center of Plii. In days past it was the seat of Regnad as ruler of the city and most of the nearby lands, and the site of his last stand before Darkness fell. On occasion someone, a denizen of Eldarhaven or some adventurer come from farther afield, has picked through the ruins searching for some remains of the riches that graced its halls, though any visit to the ruins of the city is not empty of peril.
The are also whispers of wonders, and even greater peril, to be found in the warren of halls delved into the basalt beneath the Palace, said to have survived the onslaught that destroyed the above ground reaches along with the rest of the city. Not all, or even most, of this realm beneath was created at Regnad’s command. Much was immeasurably older. One of the few intact structures of the White Palace (and of Plii itself), is the only known surviving portal to the under-palace: the Gates of Night.
