Great white cliffs of limestone and marble that run for at least tens of leagues. At Eldarhaven they are a sheer surface 200 m high running for 250 m almost exactly east-west as the looming northern limit of the town, the uppermost 40 meters a slightly overhanging layer of basalt, like grey-black icing. Eldarhaven’s latitude is low enough that the cliffs never actually cast a shadow over the town, but it is certainly true that at least on the north end of town they constitute a looming presence.
Springs and pools are found all along the base of the Telmar, many reputed to have medicinal (or sometimes more exotic) effects. These water the paddies and fields to the west of Eldarhaven.
